Bob Hibbs Memorial Reno Street Park Bench

Donation protected
Robert G. Hibbs, husband, father and friend died May 23, 2019, at Mercy Iowa City from lung cancer. He was 77.

Bob was a life-long friend of nature and  was active in improving the environment his whole life. He worked over 40 years ago with Project Green planting trees around Iowa City, recycled for over 30 years and composted and gardened with his wife Margaret for decades as well.  They both also helped throughout the years with the upkeep and maintenance of a  green space near their home, Reno Street Park in Iowa  City.

In order to honor Bob we are placing a memorial bench in the Park and  would love it if you would make a donation to the project. The benches cost $1,200 and this park needs one.  Would you be willing to help with a donation?

As a Boy Scout leader Bob would remind his sons and fellow scouts this; always remember to leave a place better than you found it. This includes our environment, our outdoors and our park. Please consider making a donation to make Reno Street Park a better place.

Thank you!
