Hey Group,
Today has been an unexpectedly big one! From this morning finding out that a transplant donor was available and that Bob was the primary recipient to sitting here in the hospital prepping him for surgery as blood tests and scans and consent forms are collected and completed. Bob has been on the donor list for over 3 years for a pancreas transplant. He became a type 1 diabetic at the age 12 and has managed daily injections, blood sugars, and his diet every moment since. From the trails on horseback to the classrooms and even the majority of his YouTube, Bob has kept his diabetes a private matter. This is the day hopefully! Pancreas transplant will require Bob to stay in the ICU for several days along with an extended recovery in the hospital trips into SA several times a week and a pause to filming for at least a month and a half as the surgery is fairly invasive. Your support during this unexpected blessing would be greatly appreciated as Bob’s hiatus from filming along with cancelling his upcoming survival camp weekend was not anticipated. Again, thank you greatly for all the love, prayers, well wishes, and support!!
Until next time…
Bob, Shauna, & Huck
