Bob Friel has aphasia and still needs our help!!!
Donation protected
Hi y'all, Ed Kuklinski here, as many of you know, our friend Bob Friel suffered a stroke last summer, and while he's mostly back to normal Bob, he suffers from stroke-induced aphasia, communicating is a challenge for him, and unfortunately, his condition might be permanent. He lost his job as a result, his former landlord doubled his rent while he was in the hospital, and his state assistance doesn't cover speech therapy. He thankfully has a new place to live but the situation remains dire. He can't work due to his new disability, putting even a basic sentence together can be very difficult for him. I'm hoping we can raise some $$ here to at least help keep him afloat until his disability benefits kick in, which here in AZ takes 9 to 18 months! All donations to this fundraiser will help Bob pay rent, utilities, and cost-of-living expenses until that happens.
Many of you contributed to the 1st Gofundme and the Che's Lounge benefit, and I can't thank you enough, but unfortunately, those gifted monies are running dry, and we've got to rally for him once again. It's all rather daunting but I'm hoping we can count on folks to help here. He has no living blood relation so it's up to us to get him through this difficult time. He's a perfect example of someone who has fallen through the safety net cracks. In addition to any donations for Bob, hit me up if you have insight on any other resources that might be of benefit to him. Thanks in advance for whatever you can do to help! Let's do this for Bob! Aphasia is a real beeyatch.
