Bob Fielder Recovery
Donation protected
For over 45 years, Robert James Fielder (Bob) has been part of the Gulf Island communities as a master mechanic. He worked maintaining and repairing our boats, such as water taxis, BC hydro boats, barges, and privately owned vessels. Living on Salt Spring Island, the most populated of the Gulf Islands, his work was an essential service. He was very dedicated to his trade, keeping mariners safe. Bob was available 24/7 for his commercial guys and more. Bob's phenomenal work ethic has earned the respect of many.
Bob is also very much a family man. As a single dad for many years, he raised three kids, Kyla, Jordan and LeeAnn. The family is growing with the newest addition of Lennon, just born in July, the seventh grandchild.
Since early May, life has thrown a wrench in his life, affecting the lives of his wife, Rachel Vadeboncoeur, a known artist on SSI, now Bob's primary support and caregiver.
He has experienced a severe stroke that almost took his life, leaving him impaired. It will take a lot of care to bring him to recovery. That's why I have this campaign. It is against his generous nature to ask for help. But this time, the challenge is just too big for his closest family, so let's pull some funds together to help them rise to the task of regaining mobility.
The funds will be used for medical costs and the renovations to their home, which are needed to make it easier for Bob's mobility. They are also required for reliable transportation to doctor's appointments, private care, alternative therapies and special diet requirements.
Thanks for your help! Let's show them we care!!
