Hi everyone, my name is Bernadette Evertsz. I am a long-time friend of the Darreff family. Karen has been my best friend, for over fifty years. Over the past few months, the Darreff family have endured many hardships since Bob was diagnosed with a devastating illness. Despite being ill, Bob continued working for four months, trying to support his family. Until one day he collapsed and was hospitalized for three months. Hanging on by a thread, Bob miraculously was able to get a top surgeon to perform his life saving surgery.

Bob has now been transferred to a rehab facility, where he will learn how to walk again. For those of you who know and love Bob, you know that he always brings joy, positivity, and lots of laughter wherever he goes. He is a very kind and generous person, who is always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

As a close family friend who has been down this road, I understand how devastating and financially crippling the medical expenses and the road to recovery can be. This journey has been an emotional and physically exhausting rollercoaster for Bob and his loved ones.

My goal is to help ease some of the financial strain on the Darreff family to focus on helping Bob with his long road to recovery and healing journey. Thank you for the ongoing love, support, and prayers for Bob. If you are unable to donate, please share this around.
