Bob Carrera Jr Post Surgery Fund

Many of you know that my brother Bob had been fighting an infection in his foot since December of 2017. After repeated surgeries and hospital stays, doctors decided the best approach to move forward was to amputate the leg below the knee. Bob has had the surgery and will endure a difficult recovery process that involves healing from surgery (at least 6 weeks) to getting getting fitted for a temporary prosthetic, learning how to get around in this new reality, getting a permanent prosthetic and eventually a career change.

This unfortunate set of circumstances has severe financial implications for Bob, Beth, Timothy and Joshua. As of now Bob is out of disability benefits. This means he has no income for his family throughout this process. Also in order to keep medical benefits Bob will need to pay the insurance premiums out of pocket. Aside from the insurance premiums there will be stacks of medical bills that will need to be paid. There will be two children to raise, groceries to be purchased, school supplies and fees, gas and auto insurance just to name a few.

Bob and his family are in need of help. They have a wonderful and loving set of family and friends that have been praying relentlessly for a successful surgery and recovery, as well as solutions to his financial situation. I believe this fundraising is one of the answers to these prayers. If you have the means to help Bob and his family financially, it would be an absolute answer to prayer. If you are unable to give financially, please keep Bob, Beth, Timothy and Joshua in your prayers. It is a difficult road ahead, but I certainly look forward to the day Bob and his family can look back on this situation and see how God provided for them through family, friends and strangers that have never met him.
