Hello Facebook family and friends, and friends of friends.  This page is being set up for Carol and her husband, Bob Bonella.  They have shared a close, loving relationship and marriage for over 20 years.  Like many of us, they have gone through their ups and downs.  Carol is a manager at Cha Cha Coconuts on St. Armands Circle and Bob, until recently, has been a long haul trucker helping to support the backbone of America.  Bob has had a hard battle with diabetes for years.  Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago, Bob suffered a serious and rapidly spreading infection in his left foot due to this awful disease.  To save his life, the doctors were left with no other alternative but to amputate his left leg up to mid-thigh.  This has been very devastating to them physically, emotionally, and financially.   Carol is now the sole supporter with only one income and due to these hard times they are falling behind in their bills.  This Go Fund Me page is being created by concerned friends in hopes that we can raise enough money to keep their heads above water in this difficult time.  I personally am inspired to create this page for them due to the simple fact that when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Carol, did not hesitate to step up and sponsor fund raisers and bake sales to raise money to help me.  She did the same for another employee who also was diagnosed.  Throughout the year, Bob and Carol participate in many bike runs for various charities to help others in need.  It is time to “pay it forward”.  We are asking for each and every one of you to donate something, anything helps, or…if you can’t personally donate, please share this page with as many people as you can.  Thank you for any and all contributions and support in advance.  Your help can keep these wonderful people in the home they love and give them peace of mind so they can focus on healing and putting their lives back together.
