Sharon Manfred Stroke Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On Friday, August 30th Sharon collapsed after taking a shower in the morning. After an ambulance ride to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, the doctors found that she had had an ischemic stroke. This type of stroke is a smaller stroke that affects the sensory function of the brain. It has caused limited mobility on the right side of her body and lack of balance. They are still seeking to find the cause but are moving forward with rehabilitation and getting her back on her feet.
The road ahead will be a long one as she relearns how to do the basic necessities of self care and Bob will need to be more available to help her. What this means is fewer hours he is able to work in order to provide for their mortgage payment, house bills, food, daily expenses, and medical care. He is the primary provider for their family and is feeling the weight of it. Our desire is to lift the weight off of Bob so he can devote the best of his time to Sharon as she recovers.
Other ways you can help are through prayer for full healing and recovery, there will be a meal train starting mid-September (comment in response to this campaign for more information about that), and any words of encouragement and love are part of the healing process. We are hoping that she will be home within the week and Bob is going to need to be available to her. The reality is that life and mortgage companies don't take breaks and so the sooner we can get funding to offset as much of these costs as possible, the better.
Thank you for loving Bob and Sharon! You are a gift to them.
