My name is Vera Clinger and I am a sister to Bob Runyan.  Some of you know Bob as BBBBob as he has been a 36 year DJ with Complete weddings & events from Kearney.  He has been married to his sweetheart and best friend Anne (Heinz) Runyan for 41    years.

They decided to take some vacation time to visit family and friends in Elko, NV.  Either during that time or shortly before leaving for the trip, Bob was exposed to COVID-19 virus.  While on the trip he started getting headaches, coughing and fatigue, which knowing Bob just doesn’t happen.  They made it to Elko and enjoyed their visit.  On the way back his symptoms worsened, the trip was cut short and he drove 6 1/2 hours from Rock Springs, WY to seek medical attention closer to home.  After setting Anne up at home with her CPAP and oxygen concentrater, Bob drove to Kearney Regional Medical  Center  to  get  medical  assistance.   Bob tested positive for COVID-19  with severe illness and was put in an isolation room.  He was hospitalized as his system was shutting down.  Over seven days he fought hard to recover from it.  He was finally released and is recovering at home.

On the other hand, five days after his admission, his wife Anne was taken by EMT unit and admitted to KRMC into the ICU in critical condition.  She also tested positive for COVID-19 which triggered complications of her pre-existing condition of Myotonic Dystrophy.  This is a hereditary  disease which progressively weakens the body.  It claimed the life of their daughter, Erin, seven years ago.  She has also lost three brothers and a nephew to the disease over the years.  Due to these factors and after a courageous fight of 21 days, the Good Lord said it was time for Anne to come Home.  Myotonic Dystrophy is a devastating disease which she struggled with during her life.  She also fought breast cancer and was just given word that she was cancer free after eight years.  We believed things were looking up.  Bob is distraught but is working to sort things out.

Again, Anne had been in the ICU for 21 days and Bob was in COVID-19 isolation for a week.  Many expenses are piling up.  Medical, regular living and funeral costs to name a few.  If you are able to help, any donations, prayers or shares will be most appreciated.  

Although this has been a difficult time, Bob continues with passion and fortitude to    celebrate all the greatness of Anne’s life.  He would like you to  remember that many others are suffering this illness so please remember that COVID-19 is real.

We do thank you for your love and support during this time,  as Bob and Anne have friends and family all over the country.   Anne has had to fight health issues during her life and has persevered with grace and beauty until now.  Bob has been devotedly by her side through it all.
