Tyler’s Adoption

Donation protected
Hi!

There are so many in need around the world.  We all know someone in need.  This is our someone, our friend Clare, who is now is need.  Our friend struggles greatly with being on the receiving end of others generosity.  So we are asking for her and she will always and forever be humbled by the generosity of others. We are hoping you can find it in your heart to help her.  Here is her story.

In March of 2012, Clare Farrell suffered the tragic and senseless loss of her daughter Katie at the age of twenty three years old.  Katie was the victim of a brutal murder/suicide at the hands of her son’s father, leaving her toddler son orphaned as a baby, a baby of 14 months of age.

Since that time, Clare has lovingly devoted her life to raising Tyler who is now 12 years old.  Tyler was born into and raised in Clare’s home.  He has known no other home other than the one he has with Clare.  Tyler is a wonderful kid who loves all things 12 years old boys love: sports, superhero’s, movies, bike rides, swimming, riding waves in the ocean, hanging with friends and just being a kid.  A great student and a truly peaceful, sweet human being.  But as you can see Tyler's story is not that of the average child.

After 8 years of a shared custody agreement, forced by the courts, with the parents of Tyler’s father, as Clare said, "it was time for Tyler to have a new story.  One that reaches beyond 'orphaned as a baby’ ”.  Clare sought legal advice and learned that adoption was the answer and would be in Tyler’s best interest. Adoption would give Tyler the stability, permanence and a nuclear family he so desperately needed and wanted.

For the past three years, Clare had been engaged in an embittered battle with the parents of Tyler’s father who were fighting her attempts to proceed with adoption.  But after this long and protracted legal battle, Clare was granted adoption and it was sealed in court on August 7, 2023!

As you can imagine, the legal fees connected to making this happen have become insurmountable, totaling over six figures.  Three years of attorneys fees and 30 days in court in front of a judge have led to the need for this 'go fund me' and the desire by her friends to try and help her.

We are asking you to join us in donating what ever you can to help ease the financial hardship this much sought and needed adoption process has brought.

If you are able to help us, please accept our thanks in advance.
