Every Voice Matters

My name is Charles Water Jr. and I am raising money for my daughter Montannah. She is 7 years old and suffers from a rare condition that only affects 1% of the population, called SELECTIVE MUTISM.  It robs children of their "Voices" . Selective Mutism is the inability to speak and communicate in social settings and co exits with social  aniexty.  Montannah is a fun loving and thoughtful little girl who is so misunderstood as being a loner, extremly shy, and sometimes taken as rude because of her condition.  She desperatly wants to speak and make friends, to have her family members hear her voice.  Because of the rareity of the condition it has been very difficult to find successful treatment here in Ohio. We are so fortunate to have found the SMart center located in Pennsylvania ( the closest and one of the rare places that  can help treat her condition) where we will be making the drive March 18, 2016. Her treatment  is not covered through insurance, its an all out of pocket expense.  Imagine never being able to tell a person your name or saying hello to a stranger and feeling as if you might as well be invisible because you cant get your body to speak. Its been very difficult to be vulnerable and ask for help but I am asking to please consider helping us by donating  so that we can get the finances to get Montannah the treatments that she truly needs.  We have saved $1,000 so far but we have a long way to go.
