I have a condition called Loeys-Dietz Syndrome. Loeys-Dietz syndrome is a Connective Tissue Disorder, meaning all connective tissue in my body is defective. This includes my joints, eyes, skin, and maybe most importantly, my vascular system. All blood vessels in my body are made with this faulty tissue. All of my arteries are prone to anuereysm, and in turn all anuerysms are subject to life threatening rupture, called a dissection. I currently have an anuerysm on my aorta (the largest artery in the human body, which carries all of the blood from the heart and distributes it throughout the body). This anuerysm can be "corrected" by replacing and supporting the aorta with a device called a graft.  Loeys-Dietz is considered a rare disorder, and proper medical care is few and far between. My doctors are telling me that because of my other risk factors, it is time to do further testing and begin the surgery "discussion." That means I will need to travel to St. Louis Missouri or New York and stay for a few days at first. Then I would need to travel back and stray for a few weeks during and immediately after my surgery.
I have 5 amazing children, and an awesome husband. Three of my boys have Autism, and various levels of learning disabilities. I cannot work. We are insured through my husband's job

, but have absolutely no money for travel costs to and from these doctors. To add a little more in the way of complications, my husband is having surgery next week on his shoulder and will be out of work for a week or two.
I need help, guys. As much as it pains me to say this, I am literally begging for my life.
