Help Bring WINGS to Life — A Story Inspired by My Paralympic Journey
Hi, I’m Isaac Jean-Paul — a two-time Paralympic medalist, world record holder in the high jump, and now… a storyteller with a big dream.
I’m launching this GoFundMe to bring my animated film WINGS to life — a powerful and imaginative story inspired by my own journey as a visually impaired athlete and my mission to become the first Paralympian to win Olympic gold at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
What is WINGS?
WINGS follows Chester McFly, a young eagle with a visual impairment who dreams of flying in Skyhaven’s elite Flyer Showcase. With courage, creativity, and his crew — the M.O.D Squad — Chester learns that real vision comes from within.
This story is a reflection of my life — pushing past what others thought was impossible and chasing a dream that soars higher than doubt.
Why This Film Matters
Representation matters. Too often, stories about athletes with disabilities are told after the finish line — not during the climb.
WINGS is more than a movie. It’s a movement to:
Empower kids with disabilities
Celebrate imagination, resilience, and teamwork
Change the narrative in animation and media
Where Your Donations Go
Your support will help:
Fund a short animated pilot to pitch to major studios
Hire a diverse team of animators, sound artists, and voice talent
Begin festival submissions and marketing
Build toward a feature-length production by LA 2028
My Why
I’ve medaled in the Paralympics. I’ve broken records. But my biggest dream is still ahead.
LA 2028 isn’t just a competition — it’s a moment to shift culture.
Let’s build this together.
Help me show the world that limitations are just the beginning of greatness. Let’s give WINGS to a new generation.
With gratitude,
Isaac Jean-Paul
