On Sunday, July 10th 2022 Michael "Mikey" Dawson was involved in a motorcycle accident in Florida. He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he is currently on a ventilator in the ICU. While he is stable now, Mikey had a ruptured spleen and has damages of unknown extent to one of his arms. He has so far been through one surgery and is expected to need more care as the extent of his injuries are figured out. Mikey has had a dream of becoming a firefighter and was working on fulfilling that dream. We are hopeful that this accident is just a momentary setback from becoming a firefighter. The goal of this fundraiser is to alleviate some of the financial burden such as flights for family to get to his side, an ambulance bill, hospital stay and any additional medical expenses Mikey may be facing in addition to the time off of work during his recovery.
