Bnei Menashe Jewish Refugee Crisis in India
Tax deductible
Since May, more than 400 Bnei Menashe Jewish families (over 2,000 people) lost their homes and belongings due to ethnic violence in the northeastern Indian state of Manipur. Two Bnei Menashe synagogues were destroyed and a Sefer Torah was burnt. The Shavei Israel organization has opened relief centers in Manipur for the Bnei Menashe refugees, where we have been distributing food, clothing and medicine and arranging for shelter. For $25 a month, or less than a dollar per day, you can help to sustain a refugee. Shavei Israel is raising funds through the Better Future for Israel organization. The needs are critical and the Bnei Menashe - descendants of a lost tribe of Israel - need your help!
