Hi Everyone,
My name is Paul and this is a fundraising campaign to help my mother Jane Lang. Jane is in her fourth year of fighting cancer and it's gotten to the point where she really needs everyone's help.
Her cancer is progressing and there's no way for her to be on her feet nearly as much as she wants to be. Trust me...this is the hardest part for her. If you know her you know she never, ever stops going. Ever.
We need this money to make sure she's as comfortable as she can be. There are so many associated costs with Jane's new "lifestyle". As she'll be the first to tell you, healthcare is a basic human right, not a privilege available only to those that can afford it.
For those of you that know my mother, you know that her first priority is always the well being of others. Here are some of her favorite things...
SALEM FARMERS MARKET
Five years ago she started the Salem New Hampshire Farmers Market all by herself. It has now grown to over 25 vendors with hundreds of loyal market-goers who depend on the fresh produce and meats and cheeses they can get every week, even in the middle of winter. Up until recently she was always the first one there and the last one to leave, talking to everyone that came by making sure they found what they needed.
So many people came to the market after seeing her on Cooks Corner...Her hat became almost as famous as she was!
SENIOR RIGHTS AND POLITICS

Jane is a tireless advocate for senior citizen rights. Working with The Alliance for Retired Americans she was always ready to challenge local and national candidates on many issues.
Here's the story about confronting Jeb Bush on wanting to phase out Medicare. She hated that she was called elderly :)
My favorite quote from the story...
Bush replied by referring to Medicare as an “entitlement” that needs to be reformed, which only pissed off the elderly citizen more.
“It’s not an entitlement,” she snapped. “I earned that.”
And you have to watch this video of my mom confronting John Kasich about Social Security. She doesn't let him cut her off, continues with the tough question and then gives him a big hug. Amazing woman...
And here's a clip of her confronting Honeywell CEO David Cote about not paying fair taxes and Medicare.
Jane has met with many of the candidates and even introduced then Senator Obama at a speech in 2008.
And recently going toe-to-toe Hillary! They both look ready for a fight!

Jane is also on the Salem Planning Board, President of the New Hampshire Farmers Market Association, member of the American Legion, and a Big Sister. By the way, this is all after the age of 60!
Her favorite saying is "It's about the people, not the politics" and she definitely walks that walk...
PLEASE HELP
Jane is many things to many people. She has spent her life helping others. Now it's time for her to get some of that love back...Please find a way to help her any way you can. She really needs it.
And please please please share with everyone you know. Link this page in an email to all of your contacts or share on Facebook or Twitter or wherever in social media. Every little (or big!) bit helps...
Jane's husband Ted, her sister Judi and I thank you so much for reading and caring...
