I am strong and I am a survivor.
My name is Kim Mastrangel. At this time in my life I have found myself facing my greatest challenge yet. Back in July of 2015 I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Over the course of the year, I have now gone to stage 4.
Family, friends & business associates have come together to create this fundraiser for Kim to help raise enough money to cover her medical expenses and future care.
Kim would like to share some of her story with you.
Kim met her husband Pete in high school in 1978. Their first date was J. Geils, Blue Oyster Cult & Jackson Brown. At the end of their first date she left that night and said, " Thats the man I am going to marry someday." Kim married her best friend and soulmate Pete Mastrangel in 1981. Kim and Pete have now been married for 34 amazing, wild and aventurous years. Left to right: Dawn, Karen, Richard, Kim & Debbie
Kim's 3 sisters, and her father. (pictured above)
Kims career:
President and CEO Peggy Dzierzawski- "Kim is a tremendously valuable member of the MICPA family. She’s brought passion, enthusiasm and joy to every single day of her 39 years at the association; starting in the mailroom after school at the age of 16, working her way up to director in the Continuing Education Department to her most recent position as Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. Her commitment also reaches beyond the office as Kim is always willing to lend a helping hand and give back in the community. Kim makes all those around her better and the CPA profession stronger with her knowledge, drive and compassion. "
Kim's Hobbies:
Kim and Pete love the summer time. They went to NASCAR races, went up north and spent time on the lake and would go camping often. Kim entered many fishing tournaments and WOW what a fisher!!! They both spent time in Florida with Pete's parents, and enjoyed the sand between their toes along with the warmth of the sun. Not so much the hurricanes!!!!
Kim and Pete wanted to say THANK YOU in the biggest way possible, but that in itself is almost impossible. The money Kim & Pete will receive will help them in their time of need. Our lives have been turned upside down, but we are getting back on track and looking forward to the future. The Lord has blessed us. Thank you for every donation, kind word, prayer, positivity and most of all, thank you for the on going support that just keeps giving. May God richly bless each and everyone of you. Thank you all.
