Help Support Drew and Elizabeth Nordman

Hi, I'm Resa and I'm fundraising for my good friend, Drew Nordman. I met Drew and Elizabeth 20 years ago while attending Shaftesbury High School in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Drew was born with type 2 spinal muscular atrophy. He is wheelchair dependent, requires assistance over most of his nights and days and lives in Charleswood with his mom, Elizabeth. While Drew does receive support to help fund his home care needs, it unfortunately is only enough to cover part time care.

As a result, Elizabeth would fill in where she could so that Drew would receive the full time care he needs. But over the last few years her health began to decline and recently, Elizabeth was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This has been a really difficult time and they know their current situation is not ideal.

Drew has since applied to move into an assisted care home setting. While he knew this would happen eventually, he did not expect it to happen so soon. And so unfortunately, he is facing a 2 year long waitlist. Until then, we are looking to help him raise enough money to cover more home care costs so that his mom can focus on her own health and Drew will still get the care he needs.

These are two amazing people who are absolutely deserving of this. Anything helps!
