Good Day Awesome People,

My name is Nicole and I'm having a really rough patch in life right now. A friend of mine recently said to me, "Nicole, you're about to receive blessings upon blessings because you're going through so much." Here's some context for that statement. On May 23, 2024, I had major spine surgery and was subsequently placed on leave without pay status from my job after exhausting all of my time. On June 26, 2025, I became homeless. My daughter, our dog, and I have been living in a motel since then. Four weeks post-op, I began doing Instacart and DoorDash to survive.

For the last 15 months, I've been in pain every day. How can I heal if I'm not doing it properly? On August 1, 2025, I lost the job that I was expected to return to on August 8, 2025 per my doctor's order. An appeal has been filled by my Union Rep but this is going to be a long fight. On August 4, 2025, my transmission went up. My car was my current and only income. I surely can't afford those repairs. We will be evicted from the hotel soon if we don't receive help and we'll have to live in my car. This is not good for us health wise because my daughter is diabetic with medicatios that require refrigeration and I have a history of blood clots.

A shelter is not an option because my daughter has PTSD from being a sexual assault survivor and because we have the dog. He's an 8 year old rescue from BARCS and he's been a part of our family since he was 5 months old. Surrendering him would be devastating.

I'm screwed right now. I don't question God but I've kept taking hit after hit before I can catch my breath. This has me asking, "Why me?" I'm not a perfect person, but I'm a good person. It just doesn't seem like my life is gonna get better. My heart, soul, mind, spirit, and body are all exhausted.
