This mama needs your help

I am mortified to have to do this, but I’m afraid I am out of both ideas and resources and have no other options.

I was laid off in August, and despite extreme efforts from myself, my employment advisor and several recruiters, I have not been able to find a job. And now, as of two weeks ago, my unemployment benefits have ended. With no form of income, I cannot pay rent or utilities and will soon be facing eviction as I am already significantly behind in payments.

Right now, with no money coming in, I am facing the prospect of having to leave Chicago, which would also mean leaving my 8 year old daughter behind to live with her dad. I cannot fathom doing that, even temporarily.

So here I am, as vulnerable as ever, asking for your help to give me a little more time so I can sort this all out.
