I'm Dani. I was recently laid off from a non-profit children's shelter in Iowa, just before my lease ends at the end of July. I had some savings put aside to deal with moving, but a host of problems occurred all at once that completely evaporated my finances, including a particularly rough bout of Covid that stopped me from getting any income for short period and unexpected state taxes that needed to be paid.

So now I need to find a new job and a new home with an empty bank account.

I've got some leads on work and housing, but it would require me to move to another city, and because I don't drive I need to find or pay for help to get my things there. Not to mention all of the other expenses that come with migrating from one city to another.

Anything you could donate to help make this happen would be huge for me. I spent a lot of time before getting this shelter job in poverty, bouncing from temporary housing to temporary housing, poorly paying job to poorly paying job, and the idea of being in such a financially unstable situation again absolutely terrifies me. Please help me keep my head above water while I migrate and find new work.
