Hi, my name is Kemi and I have been suffering with sickle cell all of my life. Recently, I’ve been blessed to have a bone marrow match and proceed to go through the bone marrow transplant. However, with that comes with financial out of pocket costs that are not covered by insurance. I’m not the one to ask for help at times, but I would love to live a life without this debilitating disease.

This disease has caused me to be in the hospital every two months, have avascular necrosis of both hips, my gallbladder removed at age 11, constant fatigue and of course excruciating pain.

I’m still young and would like to live a healthy life that doesn’t involve me being in and out of the hospital with unimaginable pain.
