My name is Jauna-Dale, and I live in Canada with my three wonderful children. It has been over 12 years since I last saw my mother, and heartbreakingly, my children have never had the chance to meet their grandmother in person.
After so many years apart, my mum was finally given the opportunity to travel from Jamaica to visit us in Canada so we could reunite as a family. Her first visa application was denied. However, I was determined to pursue the opportunity again, whilst ensuring that her entrance as a visitor was embarked upon above board and in an official manner.
When my mother finally arrived, our hearts were filled with immense joy and gratitude to be reunited after so many years apart. Tragically, just one month later, that joy was replaced with deep concern when she suffered a severe stroke, followed by a fall that caused a significant head injury. She is currently hospitalized in Kelowna, where she has undergone intensive medical treatment, including emergency ambulance and air transport, multiple CT scans, MRIs, and other critical procedures to stabilize her condition.
As a single mother, I am doing everything within my power to manage these unforeseen medical expenses; however, the financial burden has become overwhelming. The costs associated with my mother’s emergency care, transportation, and ongoing treatment are far beyond what I can manage on my own. I sincerely request your support in alleviating the financial strain of these unforeseen medical expenses. Your contribution will go directly toward the costs of my mother’s ongoing care and recovery, helping to ensure she receives the treatment and stability she urgently needs.
Unfortunately, the valuable time remaining on my mother’s visitor visa will soon come to an end, with the majority of her visit spent while she is admitted in a hospital two hours away from my home. This makes it even more urgent that she receives proper care and support during this critical period.
I am deeply grateful for your time, consideration, and any support you may be able to provide during this difficult and urgent time for our family, no amount/donation is too small support.
With deepest gratitude,
Jauna-Dale
