The story behind BMG Apps Inc. is a simple one:
a father and son collaboration wherein the new generation comes up with a great idea and the elder provides guidance and mentorship throughout the process.
New generation: Michael has a great idea. He wants to provide apps for small businesses across the country. He can custom make them and charge a reasonable amount that would fit into any small business' financial structure and potentially give a large ROI.
Michael is currently a Sophomore at Ithaca College and is enrolled as a Computer Science (BS) Major. He was a videographer, video editor, and iPhone tester for Overtime, a sports-media company that allows athletes and spectators to post highlights. He has tested the beta (and now live) iPhone app for Liovinci, a successful startup company that keeps track of all your favorite projects and upcoming trends. In addition, Michael was a 2-star HS tennis player, was recruited, and now plays tennis for IC.
On a daily basis, Michael strives to find new ways to simplify his, and everyone else's lives, through technology.
The elder: Brad has been in various businesses for the past 36 years. He started as an Independent Contractor playing professional tennis for a Team Tennis League in Germany. Upon his return to the states, he founded a company called Total Sports Management which consulted, built, and managed health clubs in luxury hi-rise buildings throughout Manhattan. He segued this success into a partnership in the hospitality industry opening the now world famous Shark Bar. He then moved on to be a partner in the highly successful restaurant group B.R. Guest, subsequently working with Uncle Jacks Steakhouse, the LeCirque group, and David Burke to name a few. Brad has spent the last 25 years in the restaurant industry and his use of technology in all his businesses has been a staple for his success.
BMG wants to give everyone equal opportunity to be able to turn their ideas into apps. Whether you have a creative new idea, or simply want to make an app for your existing company, BMG strives to make your dream a reality.
We are raising funds necessary to finance the creation of the corporation, purchase software and hardware, enlist outside consultants, and market our company through various social media outlets including grass roots marketing such as tradeshows and conventions.
Every day more and more small companies are looking for apps, and that will be our niche in the market. There are millions of small businesses in this country, and our company will be priced at an affordable level to help facilitate these small companies’ dreams in creating an app. Companies that don’t have full IT departments won’t be able to create apps for themselves, so BMG will help each company by making personalized, elegant, and modern apps. There are 5.73 million businesses in the United States that fall into our small business target market. Our goal is to penetrate just .25% of this market, and we will be able to make a huge difference for thousands of small businesses.
In addition, there are millions of people who have ideas for apps and we will give them an affordable opportunity to see their dreams come true.
In the 21st century it has become obvious that phone applications are the wave of the future. We feel we can be ahead of the curve and create a niche for the thousands of small businesses across the country
We cannot tell you how grateful and thankful we will be should you find it in your hearts to help contribute to our cause. We are humbled by anyone willing to pledge to our project. To show our appreciation, everyone who donates $25 or more will be put on our Angel's List app where your name can be publically shown (if you choose) with an individualized thank you from us.
Finally, the fact that you have read this far and have shown any interest at all is something we greatly appreciate and thank you in advance for your interest.
