In Loving Memory of Jose Sanchez
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our dear friend and longtime service industry brother, Jose Sanchez.
Jose was more than just a familiar face in the service industry — he was a kind, hardworking soul who brought warmth, laughter, and generosity to every place he worked. From his time at Lyfe Kitchen, to Brown Bag Seafood, and a cherished regular and member of the Boss Bar family, Jose touched the lives of so many in Chicago’s hospitality community.
Above all, Jose was a proud and devoted father. He often spoke with such love and admiration for his son, little Jose — his pride and joy. Being a father meant everything to him, and it showed in every conversation and every smile.
We’re coming together now to raise funds to support funeral expenses and help ease the burden on his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Whether you worked alongside him, shared a laugh over a drink at the bar, or stood outside with him for a cigarette and some real talk, you know the kind of man Jose was — generous, loyal, and full of heart.
In addition to funeral costs, we hope to raise enough to contribute toward Little Jose’s first year of college — something his father was endlessly proud of and excited for. Education was incredibly important to Jose, and we want to honor his legacy by helping his son take that first step toward a bright future.
No donation is too small. Every bit helps.
Let’s send off Jose with the same love and care he showed all of us.
With gratitude,
Family & Friends
