Help Ms. Robin’s family

If you know Ms. Robin then you love Ms. Robin. She is the most kind hearted person and she loves all of her students as if they were her own. Her family is facing some challenges and they need your help. Ms. Robin shares her story below:

My name is Robin Bowling and I would like to share about my husband Brian and a medical incident that has left us scared and uncertain about the future. Brian and I are 45 years old and live in South Florida. We have two adult children who live with us, our daughter 21 and our son 26. We also have guardianship of Brian’s nephew 17. Brian and my son Gabe drive a tandem truck for a family owned company that hauls for a large shipping company. On Thursday, November 9, Brian suffered a stroke while with Gabe in their truck. Thankfully, and I believe by God’s grace, they were parked waiting on a load and were not traveling. Brian was transported to a hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Brian suffered almost complete movement loss on his left side including speech difficulties and remained in the ICU until November 14 when he was moved to step down. He is very slowly gaining strength and over the last couple of days has been able to move around a little assisted by his physical therapists who come in daily. We are still in Savannah and not sure when he will be able to be transported back home for care and continued therapy. We face a difficult road ahead as a family and are uncertain when Brian will be able to return to work. He did not have disability insurance. Many friends and family have asked how they can help and at this point we are not certain how we will need help with physical needs however we will struggle financially without Brian’s income and with all of the medical expenses to come. His company has held his job open and will continue to pay insurance premiums so there is no option to file for unemployment. Our friends have offered to set up this account for those who can help with monetary contributions. We thank you in advance for any help you can offer in this way.
