On Friday morning, August 1st, a beautiful family of six lost the only home they've ever known when a fire broke out due to an electrical issue. Christian and Stephanie have worked years to build a home and memories for their four children. Now, all they have to walk into is smoke and water damage as they sift through their belongings to find items they can salvage. No family, no child should have to box up items to survive on. The Babcock family stayed one night in a hotel room with a monetary donation from the Red Cross and are currently in a camper. They are unsure from one night to the next where they will sleep, as a camper is not ideal for four kids. As if one fire was not enough, it restarted overnight, and Floyd and Stittville Fire Dept was dispatched Saturday morning to put it out a second time.

Christian has dedicated his life to long-haul trucking to provide for his family, and he is feeling defeated as everything he has worked to provide is gone. Stephanie has dedicated her life to being a loving, selfless stay-at-home mom, working for MetLife. Stephanie is currently unable to work due to a serious medical condition that can be life-threatening if too much stress is induced, and they have three children going back to school in September. This is the family that would give the shirt off their back to somebody else in need.
