This year, I’m lacing up my running shoes for more than just a race — I’m running to make a difference. I’m participating in Run Rockaway Half-Marathon to raise money and awareness for cancer research and support programs.

Cancer has touched my life in a powerful way. I’m dedicating this race to my grandma, who bravely fought pancreatic cancer, as well as my Pepere, who also fought against lung cancer. Gabriella Savino, Reegan Shea and Sophia Sobol are also running for loved ones.

Every mile I run is for someone who can’t. Every step brings us closer to hope, healing, and a world without cancer.
