Hi, my name is Liz Kern and I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of one of my best friends Jennifer Taves, knowing that the BM community will rise up for her in these challenging times.

She has made so many beautiful outfits for many of you over the years and brings so much light to any event. Any amount will be appreciated to get her through this. Below are her own words to what happened.

Oh meows.... sometimes life throws you unexpected twists and turns.

I was a very lucky kitty who was gifted a trip to burning man extra road trip funsies included across country to boot! I got the opportunity to help with building a friend's art project and even delivered some Costumegasm costumes on playa!

Mid burn week though I was adventuring with friends and stumbled upon a daytime dome party with a huge purple bouncy house inside and decided to hop around inside. It looked fun and safe.

Unfortunately too many human animals got in and it started to deflate and a tall fella landed right on my right hand followed by a big crunch sound whoops! Wow that was loud ..... luckily between the adrenaline and my high pain tolerance I left the party to go ice it back at camp hopeful it would be ok. Didn't really think too much of it until about a day and a half later it's still quite puffy so my campmates suggested medical.

The Rampart medical team was wonderful and did a round of ex rays and gave me a splint for my occult hand fracture in a very delicate area. Funnily enough my cute doctor with a man bun was even from Brooklyn!

I still need to get a scan and a cast or sleeve back in nyc to follow up and will not be able to use my dominant hand for about 8 weeks.

I'm a gig worker who does freelance Costumegasm costumes, weekly gig bodywork in Brooklyn and also work small vendor markets with my Cannagazm creations recently started during the plague to offset the loss of costume design income. It's hard to imagine doing any of these things singlehandedly so I'm reaching out for help and support. I'm asking to help cover the cost of medical and living expenses
