Hello folks!

My name is Blu, and I’m a Black trans femme currently fundraising for my top surgery. This is an important step in my gender journey, and one that I had hoped to save enough to cover myself. I've saved $1,000, but with the increasing attacks on trans existence here in the United States I feel an increasing urgency to get my gender-affirming care while I still can.

I'm lucky enough to have an insurance plan through my work that will partially cover the cost. But even with coverage and my savings, I am still looking at a $4, 075 bill. This fundraiser is meant to help me avoid getting into further debt (thanks student loans and laser hair removal).

I know times are hard right now, and so much strain is being put on our communities. I appreciate everyone who donates, and if you can't I hope you can share it with others so I can reach my goal.
