Our names are Sara Jane & Marshall and our beloved 2 year old dog’s name is Blu. Blu has been having medicial issues for a few weeks now and has had multiple recent trips to the emergency vet.

Blu’s health took a turn for the worse on Friday and his suspected bladder infection turned into multiple kidney stones and a blocked urethra. We were told that this can be fatal if not treated with surgery. Blu is currently being held and monitored around the clock at a local emergency vet with a catheter placed and anxiety and pain meds being administered. So far, we have had to pay $3300 for the diagnostics, medication, and around the clock care. The estimate we were given for the surgery is between $3,000 and $4,000 plus the cost of aftercare, medication and special food they send him home with.

These are ongoing and unexpected expenses that we are struggling to afford. We are asking for any form of donation to go towards his care and paying off his medical bills. Blu is our soul dog and means everything to us, we are doing everything we can to help him because we can’t imagine our lives without him.

Blu is a rescue from the Richmond SPCA. He is a very energetic, happy, and loving dog. We are devastated to see him suffering. Please help us, if not by making a donation then by sharing this link widely.
