Hello loved ones,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my babygirl Blu. As many of you know Blu is far more that just my pet, she is my baby. For those of you who have had the pleasure to meet Blu than you know she is the sweetest, most loving little soul — full of affection, personality, and joy.

About 3 weeks ago I noticed that Blu was having some unusual discharge which prompted me to take her to the vet. After weeks of monitoring and alternative treatments using antibiotics she has now been diagnosed with pyometra, a serious and life-threatening uterine infection that can rapidly become fatal if not treated in time.

Again, I tried the conservative route by treating her with antibiotics under veterinary supervision as it was unsure if she in fact had a pyometra at first, hoping that we could avoid surgery but her latest test results have proven that’s not an option. Her condition will not improve solely with antibiotics and she will need this emergency surgery to save her life.

This has been extremely heartbreaking and overwhelming, as even the costs of her recent vet visits leading up to her diagnosis have already made a quite financial toll and now the costs for her surgery and aftercare are even more significant. I’ve done everything I can on my own but at this time I need more help to make this surgery happen as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the longer we wait the more likely she will not have a successful outcome.
