Hi everyone, meet our sweet Bluey! Many might guess he was named after the popular children's show, but his name comes from his big, beautiful blue eyes that stole our hearts the day we brought him home as a puppy two years ago. Bluey is a cherished member of our family. He's our little travel buddy on vacations and a playful brother to his dog sister, Jasmine.

Just two weeks ago, our family grew again when we welcomed another dog who needed a loving home after her previous family's young child developed allergies. She's a well-trained and incredibly sweet addition to our pack.

Tragically, last week, a playful moment between the two bigger dogs took an unexpected turn. Bluey, in his eagerness to join in, unfortunately took a paw to his face. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where they initially managed to put his eye back in place. We were so relieved, hoping for the best.

However, our hearts broke five days later during a follow-up appointment. We received the devastating news that Bluey's eye was no longer viable and would need to be surgically removed. We are absolutely heartbroken for our brave little guy.

Bluey now faces several weeks of recovery after this unexpected surgery. We are committed to making him as comfortable as possible during his healing process, showering him with extra love and care.

Unfortunately, the initial emergency vet visit was already a significant expense, and now the cost of the surgery to remove his eye is double that amount. We were already stretching our budget to cover the first procedure, and this unforeseen second surgery, along with the necessary medications for the next three weeks of healing, has put us in a very difficult financial situation.
