Bluey came into my care a few weeks ago after presenting with the issue of regurgitating/vomiting after eating. After further investigation into his condition, he was diagnosed with ‘Persistent Right Aortic Arch. PRAA is a congenital anomalie (birth defect) of the blood vessels of the heart that result in constriction of the esophagus.
This means the transition from mum’s milk to solid foods has not been as easy as it should be. The constriction of his esophagus prevents anything he eats from reaching his stomach. He has a HUGE appetite because he is being deprived of nutrition. This presents as a major issue for a 12 week old puppy being the most crucial stage of his life to receive proper nutrition and thrive his way into adulthood.
Bluey is quickly losing his spark. He is getting thinner and weaker as the days go by. We are doing everything we can to support him right now but it has reached a point where I need to ask for some help in order continue his treatment.
From the moment I met this special little soul, I knew I needed to help him and I’m not about to give up on him now.
So please if you can spare anything at all, click the link and donate what you can. If you can’t donate, please help Bluey by sharing this post with your friends list and hopefully we can reach more able to help.
