Blue's Rescue

Hello, my name is Jane and I am raising funds to build a shelter for abandoned and abused dogs in Bosnia.

For more than 7 years, Adisa, who runs Blues has carried the weight of rescuing dogs from Bosnia Herzegovina . She is the only person in her city with a registered charity for dogs and has rescued and rehomed over 300 dogs—souls who were once abandoned, abused, or left to die. My own beautiful dog Peanut is from Blues, and I would love to be able to help her have her own land so she can rescue even more dogs and that they can find their forever homes.

Every donation, no matter how small, will not just buy land—it will buy hope, safety, and a future for countless forgotten dogs in Bosnia.

These years have been incredibly hard. There is no help from the local community, no support from the government. In Bosnia, stray dogs are unwanted, and many people would rather see them dead than saved. Every rescue, every vet bill, every boarding fee—I face it alone.

The only support I receive is from kind-hearted people in my online group, who help me financially when they can. Without them, I could not have come this far. Every month I struggle to cover: High boarding house fees for dogs with no home yet, Expensive vet bills for treatments, surgeries, and medicine, Transport costs, since I don’t have a car and must pay for every trip to the vet or rescue mission But this way of rescuing is no longer sustainable.

I cannot keep saving lives if I am always drowning under costs. That is why, after 7 years of sacrifice and struggle, I have made the decision: it is time to build a shelter. The very first step is to buy land. Without land, there can be no shelter, no safe place, no future for these dogs. This land will become a place where dogs can finally be rescued from the streets, hunger, and abuse • Receive medical care and treatment • Be safe, loved, and happy—sometimes for the very first time • Wait for their forever homes, instead of living in fear or in temporary pensions This shelter will be their chance to live, heal, and find love. But it all begins with land.

For 7 years, I have given everything I have to save them. Now I ask you to help me take this first step toward something bigger, something lasting.
