Bluejays Read

Audrey did a book drive project and volunteered with book distribution for Bluejays Read in the summer of 2020.

Audrey’s birthday is this week and we want to raise some money. Bluejays Read distributes books in the rural communities around Snook, TX. Kids often request books that they are excited about but that have not been donated. 

Imagine these students from lower income communities and what it would mean to them to receive a brand new book that they request. Developing a love of reading is easier and more effective when the children are already interested in the book. This gift also tells the children that they are special and worthy of something just for them.

Our goal is to raise $2500 to buy requested books. This amount would serve 250+ students.

Thrivent provided $250 seed money to get us started buying requested books. Our family is matching that with $250.
