Hello,

My name is Landon Reese.  Recently I received a contract to march with the Blue Devils.  They have been my dream corps ever since I got into this activity.

In 2016 I decided to throw myself out there and take my first drum corps audition.  I got myself up to Dallas and I decided to audition for the Blue Devils. I ended up with a callback after that camp and I was ready to fly to California to re-audition at the callback camp! Due to my lack of experience in the activity I ended up with a sprained ankle and I got cut that year. This led me to audition at the Blue Knights where my role model (and the Blue Devils 2014 soloist) Greg Horner was a trumpet tech. I've learned a whole lot at the Blue Knights and I am very thankful for the successful season we had in 2017.

This year I auditioned in Dallas again and I was offered a spot in the trumpet section for the 2018 Blue Devils.

This has been my dream for 6 years now and it's finally happening!  I live in Austin so flying to California every month for camps will be expensive due to flights, hotels, and travel.  

I'm studying music education at Texas Tech.  My GPA is a 3.869.  This marching experience for me will prove invaluable to help me attain a career as a high school band director.  This is the greatest opportunity I've been presented with in my life.
