Bluebird Montessori is a small preschool in Delmar, NY that serves children ages 2.9-6 using the Montessori philosophy, which focuses on human connection and self-directed, hands-on learning in a beautiful, carefully prepared environment that is suited to the needs of its students.
There are no pre-school options in the town of Bethlehem for low-income families, and there are few teachers with experience educating children for whom English is a new language . Therefore, we have started a scholarship fund in order to send two children from low-income families for whom English is a new language to Bluebird Montessori for the 2017-2018 school year.
We hope to provide these students the same opportunity as many of their local peers, jumpstart ENL services, encourage community integration, and promote diversity and acceptance in our school community and the community at large.

Any funds raised over our goal will be used for funding a second year of pre-school education for the students. If you would prefer to not donate online, we can also accept personal checks made out to Meredith Moriarty, and mailed to Friends of Bluebird Montessori, 56 Hudson Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054. We are not a certified charitable organization, and therefore your donation is not tax deductible
