Help Me Bring Blue the Kitten Home to the UK
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Becca. I’m currently fundraising to help a little kitten I rescued in Turkey – his name is Blue, and I’m doing everything I can to give him a forever loving home in the UK.
On the second day of my holiday, I was having breakfast near the beach when I noticed something heartbreaking – a group of children were tossing a tiny kitten around like a toy. I couldn’t walk away. As soon as I picked him up, he collapsed in my arms, panting and struggling to breathe. I knew in that moment that if I didn’t act, he might not survive.
Thankfully, I’m familiar with a local vet here in Turkey. Every year I do what I can – I’ve helped treat and vaccinate street cats suffering from cat flu, which is sadly all too common and deadly out here. Last year I helped 4, and the year before that, 6. But I always leave wishing I could do more.
This year, I have to do more.
Blue is around 2 months old and had clearly been separated from his mum far too early. Since being rescued, he’s made an incredible turnaround – he’s now eating, drinking, and even playing like a healthy kitten should. But I know that if I return him to the streets, he won’t make it.
After reaching out to numerous animal charities and searching desperately for a safe home for him in Turkey, I’ve made the decision to bring Blue back to the UK with me. It’s a long and costly process, involving quarantine, vaccinations, and safe travel, but I’m determined to make it happen.
Thanks to the amazing HarpHunters Rescue in Turkey, Blue is now receiving essential treatment and will soon begin the process of getting ready for his journey. They’re even traveling 4 hours to help us!
If you can spare £1, or even just share this fundraiser, I would be endlessly grateful. Every donation will go directly to Blue’s care and travel costs.
Thank you for reading Blue’s story – and for helping give this brave little soul the chance he deserves.
