Blue Friday - Bless A Family With Clean Water

Happy Thanksgiving, we are celebrating Blue Friday by allowing you to bless a family with access to clean water for years to come. For a small donation of $25, one family will have access to clean water for years to come.. Feel free to donate $25, $50 or $100.

In India, collecting and managing water to meet various household needs are traditionally the responsibility of women. The “Water Women” in the many villages of rural India are forced to walk long distances to get water for their families. Even in the urban slum scenario, women may need to stand in long queues for water. Often, this leaves them with much less time for other important activities such as attending school (this is especially true for young girls), childcare, and income-generating activities. Unfortunately, women’s participation in water management and decision making is low; empowering women on these issues can also address the root causes of poverty and gender inequality.
