OUR MISSION
Teaching Life Skills through Stage Skills
Our academy philosophy is to provide a creative theatre experience that teaches stagecraft through the real life lessons of teamwork, optimism, work ethic, creative risking, and collaboration, in a nurturing, supportive and positive environment.
Students need a safe place to imagine and express themselves. At the Academy, subjects such as Improvisation, Movement, and Scene Study naturally provide an opportunity for students to develop skills such as cooperation, resilience, confidence, and self discipline. The skills needed to be successful onstage nurture the skills needed to be successful in life.
We need approximately $15,000 to put on these performances. Any donation would help! All the funds go toward these incredible, talented youth having a meaningful experience. Theatre does so much for students and a community. Thanks so much for your consideration!

BLUE FOREST THEATRE ACADEMY
IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE BUENA VISTA ARTS COUNCIL
Our organization is sponsored by the City of Buena Vista’s Art Council and is a non-profit Theatre Academy serving the Rockbridge and surrounding areas.
We are committed to teaching and bringing children together through the arts. We welcome all, regardless of race, religion, or income.
In order to allow families of all income levels to participate we try to keep our workshop fee as low as possible and fundraise the rest.
Workshops like ours run anywhere from $200-500. We hope to keep ours at $100 so more students can participate.
We have 60 students in our shows and are growing every year!
Classes range from Ages 5-18
