Blue Brother in Arms Needs Help

On March 1, my Sgt, Brother in Blue... my friend, received a call no one ever wants to get, Your 17 month old son is hurt and is at the hospital. As my friend raced to the hospital he received another message... you son is being transferred to HCMC burn unit. My friend arrived just in time to see the ambulance scream down the road lights and siren. He gets to HCMC as fast as he can and finds that his son, has second degree burns over a good portion of both his legs and will need to stay in the hospital a couple of days. Now, a couple of days has turned into a couple of weeks and as he gets daily treatments to clean his wounds and try to repair the damage. A feeding tube has been placed to make sure he continues to get the extra calories needed to help fight the infection and keep the healing process rolling. His son remains in good spirits and tries to play as often as he tolerates. This is a good family who serves their community selflessly. Mom is a nurse and dad is a Sgt for the police St Francis Police Department. They work hard and often put others before themselves, even through this pandemic.
