Blossom's vet bills
Donation protected
Recently Blossom, a dear friend of mine's 5 year old staffy/terrier x, was hit by a dirt bike in Girrawheen.
At the time, Blossom was playing in the park with her family, which included children and other dogs, when a dirt bike was intentionally driven at the group. She was struck by its rear wheel and sustained pelvic fractures, cruciate ligament damage and lumbar disc rupture/displacement. Blossom is the sweetest dog who is very loved by her family, friends and the WA Agility community. She is only 8kg and the family are just thankful that she wasn’t killed by the dirt bike and that no kids or other dogs were hurt.
A 16 year old male was arrested and charged in relation to the incident however Blossom’s owner is already over $1000 out of pocket with vet bills and she still has a lot of treatment ahead of her. The outcome of the charges is still unknown but as the driver of the dirt bike was young it is unlikely he will face penalties.
