Hello, my name is Lachlan and I am starting a fundraiser to start my at home family business called BloodShred Fingerboards. We will be specialising in making Pro quality skate fingerboards right here on the South Coast of Australia using Maple wood and sourcing Aussie materials. Each individual board will be pressed, molded, shaped and designed by hand being sold as individual decks or as a complete with grip tape, trucks, hardware and wheels. We will also be making street skate spots such as wooden or concrete stairs with handrails, kickers, grindable ledges and more.

Skateboarding is a popular sport ranging from all ages and so is fingerboarding. It's great fun for the kids but also us big kids. Many of us may have tried to skate, use to skate, had the fear of breaking a bone or just love the Skate culture in general. Even everyday skaters and Pro skaters fingerboard, perfecting their tricks or learning the flip motion for a specific trick. You can fingerboard anywhere anytime especially on rainy days and have fun making obstacles in your own home or crafting some using your imagination.

My wife and I are expecting our second child in April 2026, so I'd like to be working from home and have the business running before the end of this year as my eldest daughter is starting primary school next year (2026) around the corner from our home. It will give me the opportunity to help my wife after the baby is born but she will also be helping me with the business creating graphic designs, logos and more. I will be promoting the company and making boards/completes that will be ready before the online store launches. I'd also love to do local markets and host events/competitions for kids and adults to win a free complete/decks and hopefully raise money for a cause.

The money raised will be used to buy the supplies such as molds, presses, veneer, sanding machine, trucks, urethane wheels and bearings, grip tape, dye, website, work bench, glue, sanding sheets, promotion, lacquer, clear coat, heat gun and HTV's.
