On the 28th December we will be hosting a fundraiser with all the proceeds split between Friends of the cancer center and Leukaemia and lymphoma NI.
Friends of the cancer center works to support local cancer patients and their families by enhancing the care and support they receive at every stage of their cancer journey. It is a local charity and every penny raised and donated stays in Northern Ireland to support local people affected by cancer. The charity’s work focuses on supporting life saving and life changing work in the areas of clinical care (funded staff and vital medical equipment) and research (support of clinical trials).
Leukaemia & lymphomia NI is the only charity in Northern Ireland dedicated to funding research into the causes and cures of blood cancers. They do this by supporting laboratory research, clinical trials and education. The Leukaemia & lymphomia scientists are experts in their field and with their research they aim to understand how the disease develops, better methods of treatment and ultimately improve the outcome and quality of life for all patients affected by leukaemia, lymphomia, myeloma and other related conditions. All funds raised by the charity remain in Northern Ireland.
