She cannot work because of the way the chemo makes her feel and with her platelets being so high she is high risk for a stroke, blood clot, heart attack etc. She has already had a TIA in May (that is why she hasn’t been working since) after having many tests and seeing a Neurologist, hematologist, and lots of blood work, she was sent to have a bone marrow biopsy & aspiration the first time unfortunately didn’t go very well and they had to have her get the procedure done again at Henry Ford Hospital under sedation, after those tests she was finally told she has blood cancer. She has been in physical, OT, & speech therapy ever since May and in and out of many dr appointments trying to get back to being a healthy independent single mother of two children. During this time she has not had any income and her Dr has advised her to not work until further notice. She does not qualify for disability since she is so young and she can’t file for unemployment due to her ability to work. She has very bad head aches, bone pain, numbness/burning pain in her hands and feet, dizziness, nausea, and the other day she bent down and her eye hemorrhaged.
