UPDATE 7/14/2016: For those who have donated, signs will be available for pickup tomorrow at Black Lives Matter Austin general meetings which are every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Sandra Joy Anderson Wellness Center, 1705 East 11th Street, Austin, Texas 78702 at 6 PM. Go to the link below for BLMA events and updates, including meeting place changes if they occur.

The donations are coming in and we are so grateful. We continue to get BLACK LIVES MATTER yard signs in to the hands and onto the lawns of Austinites across the city. We are also taking donations if you don't want a sign. Keep the donations coming!
Want to support the BLACK LIVES MATTER movement? Here is a tangible start. This is a project, approved by the Austin chapter of Black Lives Matterand inspired by a similar effort in St. Louis, to put up yard signs showing support. Allies posting yard signs can start important conversations within their communities to begin the ongoing work of changing societal ideals and culture regarding Black lives.
As opposed to selling these signs we are asking for a donation. Proceeds will go directly to BLACK LIVES MATTER Austin so they can continue to do their important work in Austin and beyond. Minimum donation of $10 to receive a sign. Please post number of signs you are requesting in the comment section on the donation page, or if you are simply donating funds to the cause. Sign pickup will be available at monthly General Meetings, monthly canvassing events and various other BLMA activities. Share freely and thank you for your support.
Where is the money going? Supplies, fees, a billboard highlighting Debra Kay Stewart's disappearance 30 years ago, event planning, and more.
