Over the last few weeks, I have watched humans come together for a cause that is LONG overdue. People have shown their frustrations and support through protests, art, donation, song, riots, the list goes on and on. I have spent a lot of time listening, and educating myself over the past few weeks and what I’ve realized is I/we need to do more. We need to be better. Try HARDER to support those who need us, and stand up for what is right.

So, this Saturday, June 13th, I’ll be running a marathon relay (I’m going to go for 10 miles) Everyone and anyone is welcome to join from ANYWHERE if you want to run/walk. So how it will work, you will gather sponsors to pledge a certain amount of money per mile. Family, friends, Instagram/Twitter/Facebook followers, WHOEVER wants to sponsor you, get them in on it.

Proceeds will be split between the Big Yard Foundation based out of Portland, OR and the Youth Justice Coalition in Los Angeles, CA. Both of these non profits promote community empowerment, and focus on providing space and education to under served. I have attached links for both non profits below.
