BLM protest legal fees

Nico was attending a Black Lives Matter protest a few weeks ago. As some of you know, there was a cop car that had been flipped and set on fire. Although Nico was not involved in the destruction of the police car, they are trying to pin him, amongst many others, on the damage done. There was video evidence showing him at the protest, but not being involved in the initial destruction of the police car. We found out two weeks ago from the news that they were charging him with two felonies. 1st degree criminal mischief and 3rd degree rioting. There were atleast 8 articles posted about nico and his charges before there had been any police contact. They used his mugshot, gave his name, his city, and said he was gang affiliated. Slapping gang affiliated on an article is so dangerous. He has an 8 year old boy and a family that has been on edge for weeks now. He was told his warrant was being revoked this morning. They showed up at 9pm last night and arrested him in front of his child after breaking down his gate and slapping his phone out of his hand as he was calling me, the person who could get there fastest to pick up his kid. When I got there, they had already taken him away and his 8 year old son was waiting alone surrounded by 5 cops. He does not have the money to afford many of his legal fees and his bail currently. He is a tattoo artist and income has been slow due to COVID-19. I haven’t been able to speak to him and they won’t allow me to bring him his medication. I know he wouldn’t want to ask for money, but I don’t know what else to do at this point. If you can’t donate anything, sharing this, getting the word out, or anything you can do is helpful.
