Now, more than ever, black and brown activists are being targeted not only by white supremacists, but also by local and federal law enforcement agencies. It is critical that we work to end systems of mass incarceration and support our communities in the face of such intimidation.
To that end, BLM B-town is creating a local bail-out fund. The fund will be used to help individuals who are in need of assistance with bail money due to advocacy & activism work they are doing for racial justice in our local community. This is a needs based fund, and while we will prioritize the cases of Black and Brown folks, each and every case will be examined on its own merits.
Please note: This fund is for individuals only. We do not help organizations.
